Meet Billy Bob!

In the fall of 2005, Spokane Riverfront Park made arrangements to purchase a spare figure for the Looff Carrousel.

The figure is an authentic Looff goat that was carved around 1885. It arrived in need of some minor repairs, and it also benefitted from a new paint job. The pictures presented here show the progress of our goat (affectionately named William Robert Steinbock, or Billy Bob for short) from it's arrival until its completion.

The restoration and paint for the goat were provided by volunteers of the Spokane Antique Carrousel Society.
