A Girl Scout Tour

Bette Largent conducted a private tour for a small girl scout troup in February, 2006. The girls were working toward their carrousel merit badge, and with such a small group, they received a very personalized tour.

The tour began with a description of carrousel carving techniques using our take-apart-horse for demonstration.

Following that, a walk-around tour was given. The carrousel was down for maintenance, and some of the inner mechanical components were visible, as was the back of our band organ.

The tour ended with a close-up look at individual carrousel figures followed by a question and answer session.
